In caring for others, Specialized Educator must also ensure their own well-being in their work environments. This competency specifically addresses two areas: the ability to identify the risks of the spread of infection in a work environment and the ability to recognize the signs of occupational burnout in the work environment. Candidates must be able to identify preventive measures to ensure that they are taking steps to prevent occupational burnout from occurring in their professional lives.
