02FH To Analyze the Issues Associated with Participation in Society

Competency Description

The Specialized Educator is expected to understand how social phenomena leads to marginalization or privilege, at times contributing to or exacerbating the adjustment problems a client may be experiencing. Adjustment problems can include power imbalance, social constructs, cultural contexts, to name a few. The Specialized Educator needs to recognize the factors conducive to social participation.
